MDI?

Found this at my rev war site today. I'm not sure what exactly it is. It has the letters MDI on the back side of it. I always think everything is a gun part. Lol. But I don't know about this one. Thanks in advance y'all.

Thanks guys. I think it's a little beefy to be a window latch. Door latch is possible, as is instrument part. I'm not sure. I was hoping that the "mdi" would help id it
