Found this USN Pin while doing a little detecting . Hope that some of you can date this plus that someone can supply some info on this pin . I have included a photo of both the Reverse an the Obverse . The Reverse is marked "Sterling on the bow and marked STER - THEDA - LING on the heart " .

This has to be one of the most adorable pins I have ever run across ... a Sweetheart pin for the U.S. Navy. A full-figured cupid carries a mother-of-pearl heart surrounded by marcasites on which is set a U.S.N. seal with anchor. All done in sterling silver, this is a real treasure! Especially with today's focus on the military, this is a gem for a fellow to get his gal for Valentine's Day! One tiny marcasite missing at bottom of heart, otherwise perfect. Measures 1-3/4" wide x 2" long.
