Maybee a Lapel pin of sorts

Found this close to Memphis, it was about 4 inches down in sandy soil. The stem was on there when found it but broke off during cleaning :-(. I have zoomed and took pics at different angles and cant figure out the wording on it??

...or maybe not, the diameter is probably too small.

It seems to have wrighting on it. Lapel pin could be right. Some people here do amazing things by altering light so they might catch it. Don't ya just love findin neet stuff? Good luck.

My active imigination see's Cornbelt Paint. Google didn't help with that. I can't read the outside edge. One part looks like cut then maybe e? I thought your lapel pin was good guess. I don't think it's big enough to be the front of a pin part of bibbed overalls is it? Good luck.
