Maybe just a ball bearing... but a weird one.

Has anyone ever seen a ball bearing with grooves on it like this? The "H" marking is repeated once on the other side. There are no holes or shank marks.

I could be wrong but I don't believe that it is a ball bearing! The two parallel lines going around the circumference of the ball and the large letter "H", IMHO, seem to be the trademark for the Maker. Possibly a game piece or decorative piece??, I really don't know!

Very cool little ball, definitely not a ball bearing it would have to be perfectly smooth. I would display it on a little acrylic pyramid, its cool and unique. Nice find!

They are wicked when used as ammo for a slingshot. I scattered hundreds all over the place that way when I was a kid and suspect that is probably how yours came to rest where you found it.
