Dug this at an early 1900's home site. I think it may be from the windows, but not sure. I thought I had read somewhere that the old wood windows used ropes and weights and such to help raise and lower them. This item is 2" x 2", the pulley turns. Made entirely from lead, and the pulley from brass. Any help is greatly appreciated!

pretty small pulley for a window. most of them used a rope about 3/8 inch. the weight depends on the size of the window, but usually as much as the window it assisted

Thank you for that bit. Never did hear sizing of the rope. I guess the search continues.....

Could it be a pulley from an old lamp/light ?

looks like possibly an old trolling line weighted pulley

This to me makes the most sense I think. The site is right next to the river, and this was a fishing and clamming community in its yester year. Thank you, I am marking this one solved, as similar photos showed up in Google.
