Maybe an old tobbacco tag pin?????

tobbacco tag.jpg , Found this very tiny , very thin round piece of metal that reads ------ SMITH HIGH GRADE DURHAM----- . It is smaller in diameter than a dime , maybe 1/16 inch thick , copper or brass metal. Just curious if anyone knows what it could be or what time period its from :icon_scratch:
 

This article from 1917 says there was a Smith Manufacturing Co that made Smith's High Grade overalls. Maybe your find is part of the front of a button / rivet?

Thanks . I looked it up and I believe you hit the nail on the head . It resembles an overall button / rivet that was in the info I found . Thanks again for your help:hello2:
