A bit hot outside, but I had a pretty good day! Went to an old town I've never been to before and the old district was all mansions! Most people didn't answer but I got two permissions. After a couple hours, and not finding anything old I was ready to leave the 2nd but then dug a minié ball. That kept me going for a while longer and lead me to find a 1905 IHP, and 1894 Barber quarter. At the first site I found what looks to be a curtain weight (Special thanks to the TreasureNet Forum community for IDing).

It's a weight for a loom I believe. I cant think of the proper name for the tool. Nice finds!!! So sweet to see that old silver.

Yes, I'd also say a Dress Hem or Curtain Weight.

They were commonly sewn into Victorian Skirts etc, but could be used with any material & for whatever use the buyer wanted. Curtains was common as well.
