actually i just found a stemmed lance midsection made of same material, "possibly cody complex" ill post a pic up if i can ever get a camera :-\

Thanks again steve, very misterious material......... i wonder if there is a quarry of it here in the usa, or if its just spread out everywhere, i have found no nodules of this, just what has been used and worked, so im thinking my area guys brought it in. i still would live to find out tho!
 

I remember that material. I know I have something similiar somewhere as well. Pretty wild stuff.

this was found near zapata texas. my guess petrified clay mud sediment type material?
