Bountiful couple of days hunting MV. New to rocks. Anyone have pointers on how to polish these agates?
Also if interested you can see: clams, meg teeth, lobster fossils, seal and whale bone and petrified wood.
Thanks for thoughts. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1499522457.250847.jpgImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1499522482.536387.jpgImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1499522502.207913.jpg

Cool finds, maybe you could pickup a used rock tumbler for agates or cut them into slabs?

Thanks mrdigs. Where would one take the agates to cut them? They are big enough. Would a mason saw work?

A tilesaw can work, if they aren't to large. But perhaps see if there is a local lapidary club first!

A Mason saw would work but I would only use one to make big pieces manageable with another saw. Also, if your not use to using a gas powered saw please do not experiment . So many things can go wrong. As stated a time saw will work or bring it into a local Lap shop. Good luck, post some pics of you wind up cutting!!

Thanks for the thoughts. [emoji106]🏽 on NOT using a gas saw as certainly that's not included in my range of skills. Ha
