I came across this Marine Corp Victory Pin, not sure what time period. I appreciate in advance any expertise you folks can offer!

This is what I know:

Blue enamled on "Victory" plate.

Both parts are marked "STERLING".

SIze is 1/2" x 1 1/8"

The link between the two silver parts is copper.

The pin is missing off of the back.

It does not have a rope in the anchor.

It appears to be an earlier form of the Marine Corp insignia.

Any idea of age???
Is it a sweetheart charm or was it part of a serviceman set???

Thanks again!!!

WW2 most likely althought WW1 / spanish american war is possible --not korea since was a draw and vietnam was a loss. and its clearly a bit older -- very cool find.

I don't know but my vote is for WW1. Victory was a big catch phrase. Note "Victory" trucks etc. Good luck figuring it out.

My guess: Purely ornamental, not official. I believe the official Marine insignia has historically shown a fouled anchor line; this piece doesn't. But what do I know, I'm former USAF.
Don.....
