p.s. has anyone also found one of these guys???? if so im sure they would be on the coasts of the US.

No information on your bottle... but did find some cool bits that might help get you to the next step in research...

John Adams signed an act of Congress on July 16, 1798 which
established a Marine Hospital Fund to be administered by the Treasury Department.
Twenty cents a month was deducted from the pay of each seaman to fund a system of
hospitals in major port cities to treat sick and injured seamen.

MARINE HOSPITAL SERVICE.

This town was the first on the Vineyard to have a public hospital. The harbor of Homes Hole was much frequented in colonial days by sailing craft from all ports on the north and south Atlantic coasts, and diseases of a contagious character, like small pox, were frequently spread by the crews of vessels riding at anchor…

Since the Marine Hospital Service already had hospitals and physicians located in many port cities, the Government assigned the Service to administer Federal quarantine.

And check item E23 at this link… A U.S. Marine Hospital Service Belt Plate… very cool!
