Kids playing marbles. A game they used to play where that bigger marble will knock out the smaller ones from a circle in the ground. Old time kid game. My grandpa played it when he was I kid in the 30's

some can be quite valuable like the german hand mades.you should research your local area for a dealer to take them to.also there are websites you can email pics to and they will tell you which to send for appraisal.good luck...I'm gonna do same with mine.

Welcome to the forum! Those darn marbles....there is a thread for 'em somewhere, can't remember where just now. Anyway what I did with a bunch I had was to look on eBay. Click on the "Sold" marbles and find ones like yours. You will get a picture of what they are selling for and an idea of their age and names.

Since you give no size reference in your picture or text, I'm not sure what size they are. If that's a washcloth they're on, they're normal size. If they're on a full size Beach Towel, they're worth a fortune!:laughing7:

The best I can tell is (Heaton agate Co. 1946 to 1971 )or (Akro agate Co. 1911 to 1951 ).You can look online to make sure. Osage.

Thanks for the link Breezie.
I never thought that marbles were such a collectable. I recently found a German handmade "blue mica" marble while detecting a farm field.
It was so interresting, I picked it up and put it into my pouch.

THere is a marble forum right here on Treasure Net. You will have to look through all the different forums but it is there and there are a few folks on there that really know their stuff. Post them on the marble forum.
