Hey All,

Not too much activity for me this past weekend, I've discovered that I have too much stuff and not enough money, so I went on a listing frenzy instead. However, happened to bike past a stoop sale, and picked up a huge bag of print material from the 50's for $10. Its mostly Old Maps, Travel Brochures, vacation guides, hotel directories, postcards, etc, all from 1950-1965. Pretty cool stuff! I'm thinking about listing them at $4.99 a piece, free shipping (most of them will fit in a stamped envelope). They seem to regularly sell for $7-$10, But I figure I might try to incite a bidding war or three. Plus, even if I sold every one for $5, there's 60+ of them. I should Be able to make my money back. Here's some pictures, if you'd like any more let me know. Hope you all had good weekends!

Hmm, not showing up for me?

I think I fixed them, can everyone see the images now?

Good buy, I bought a load of those a while back too and sold them in lots. I think I paid a quarter apiece for 50 to 75 of them.

Not from the East, what is a Stoop sale?

That's a sale you have on your front stoop. I would guess.

Yep, I live in Baltimore, which has primarily Rowhouses, which are thin houses all side by side. They don't have front yards, so the best you can do is have a Stoop sale. Or a sidewalk sale, I guess. It seemed weird calling it a yard sale without a yard to speak of. Anyways, I got some maps!

Those road maps with Gas Co. logo's are bringing good money to auto-ephemera collectors, most interest is from 1960 and older. Nice find and deal.......HH

Now I know, thanks and good luck with the maps.

Nice buy! I want to go "stoop sailing". Where I live they have chicken house sales as well as the normal garage and yard types.

It's a good time. Most of the time they happen because of a move, so there are usually good deals waiting to happen.

I enjoy certain ephemera but it is so tough to know what is valuable and what is just a piece of paper. Good luck and I am SURE you will make money on this one.
