I have got to prints of old maps both of them are framed and both by the same person. The first map says America nova Tabula and the second is Evropa recens deleripta on the bottom of the prints it says Bernard Picture Co Inc. I am not to familiar with maps so any information would be helpful. Would also like the know if they are worth anything. Thanks

Salsa 84,
Welcome to Treasure Net !!

You appear to have copies of the most sought-after and decorative maps of North and South America, a gem by Willem (Guilielmus) Janszoon Blaeu (1571-1638) who was the progenitor of the famous Blaeu cartographic firm of Amsterdam. He studied astronomy and sciences and in 1599 established a globe and instrument making business which soon expanded to include cartographic and geographic publishing. This firm was to go on to become the largest and most important cartographic publishing firms in the world. The maps issued by the Blaeu firm are known for their fine engraving, coloring and design, and have been called "the highest expression of Dutch cartographical art."

Decoratively, the map is one of the most beautiful of the golden age of Dutch cartography.
Original copies of this map can sell for in the thousands, but unless you purchased it with a Certificate of Authenticity as an original or original copy, my bet it is a typical map that can be purchased quite inexpensively at any extensive map shop.
Don.....
