Thanks very much Okie,

I'm up here now trying to find my best route in. quite a steep valley with roads and paths following the contours as usual.

Anyone else any thoughts?

I'm going over your picture. Some of us take longer to finish up on the dowsing. I don't like to get in a hurry. I like to dowse like how a relic hunter metal detectorist hunts, slow and methodical. I like to take a week or more going over a document at different times of the day, under different conditions and a different mood, then finalise the dowse.
When do you need it done by?

Hey Jon,

no rush AT ALL ! Just keen on all of your thoughts. This is an interesting, remote, cut-off valley that's only opened up in the last 50 years max.

I did take a quick check...seemed to be something, perhaps a mine in the top left of photo along that road or trail going up.

Thanks Red, there is a lot of evidence of old quarrying in this area, along the single route only. Very old rock. Oldest in Europe in fact. Very limited info re mining per se here BUT I have discovered some old research leads.

Yeah, it seemed to be man made...didn't think it was natural. If you get a good lead in that spot, let me know and I'll mark things out.

Hi An Ri Rua,
My dowse revealed that in or near the white circles are gold and silver coin caches.
The orange circle is a Roman bronze coin cache.
Thanks for posting your picture,
Jon

Thank you very much John, thanks all. Art originally also.
I will stew over this info and report back soon enough. You have tremendous talent, all of you.

One of your circles Jon, was a direct hit of the good signal I'd mentioned. Put an arrow pointing to it. In the area above and around it, was getting some kind of man made tunnel or mining operation.

Red, thank you. I'm enjoying this effort very much!

Thanks Red_desert!
Those 2 white circled areas were very prominent signals for gold.
Jon

Well, I spent about 2 hrs up there today, but seriously awkward terrain to MD. Only went to the cache site that Okie had dowsed. Practically track-side (after a 3 mile uphill walk) but seriously steep rough hillside covered with young coniferous forest. Not a good place to swing an MD. V boggy underfoot. But then it is a boggy mountain :-D

Will keep at it. As Art says, he can only get ya in the location. That's where it gets tough for an academic dowser like me!!

need to hone my rod skills. Pendulum was giving me correlations to what Red and Okie dowsed but that can be down to many things, in my learner case.

Art, Jon, Red, how are we all keeping?

This thread started when I just happened to show Art, a few years ago, a picture of a steep valley. He dowsed it and said it was more full of gold than anything he'd seen.

This thread showed up some interesting stuff. It gets more interesting however when you throw in old myths AND 19th 20th C diggings and drainings to verify those old myths.

I'm posting some info offline for now but will report back on this thread later.

Thanks An Ri Rua, will be waiting for the time to see them. I'm doing just fine.

Want to send me your email, I PM'd you? I'll send you on the two images that I've sent Jon and Art. Its v v cool when myth and stories (and diggings) back up / underwrite the dowsing and not the other way around. Very cool.

I got that same general area just a bit above the circle that the arrow points to.
