Can anyone tell me more about any of the following? I have several more- but I have never asked anyone to look at them before.
very heavy; clear/bluish black crystals?

Deep fossil- looks like a flower?

Soft, will crumble; has an oil/metallic sheen; I thought it was wood, but the sheen throws me off

Extremely heavy; has rusty appearance

The one in the back looks like a layer of shredded cocoanut ontop- pink cocoanut.

The blue within this one does not flake off or anything; very dense

This one is covered with a sandstone-like green layer; and is pink/red more dense inside

Very heavy; looks like sap. This is a piece off a larger specimen I have. does not crumble, but whole chunks do fall off sometimes.

Also very heavy. Dark Gray with flat surface, everyone says its mica- however I do not think mica is heavy. This that I have does not flake either, it has cube appearance, vs peal-able layers. It also has the golden sap-like pockets throughout.

this little thing- is VERY heavy. every picture I took of it, came out completely different. It is a dirty looking light/golden color. it seems to be melted over a maroonish/clear cluster of stones??? but in the picture the stone underneath seems amberish?

Turquoise. Is it?

This is one of my favorites. There is a round, light green ball in the center. and veins radiate out from that ball. it does not flake; its very heavy. Is it a plant?

Your second photo shows two of the MANY varieties of Rugosa/Tetracoralla, typically called "horn corals." Now extinct, they were common during the Ordovicial to Permian periods of the Paleozoic era. Rugosa - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Your third photo shows a Blastoid, which is a relative of Crinoids. They were enormously common in the seas of the Paleozoic era, but went extinct at the end of the Permian period of that era. Blastoid - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Great stuff! As far as the 4th picture goes...I think your'e on the right track, as it appears to be petrified wood. Thanks for sharing! ddf

That 5th pic is the build up of sparks of tiny hot metal fragments that build up behind the wheels of a locomotive, just like snow and ice on the road build up behind the tires of your vehicle. I would find those walking along the RR tracks. Plus I worked in a metal shop long ago and we cut long metal stock with this radial are saw and it built up that same looking chunk of fused hot metal fragments just like that thing you have, but I think yours fell of the locomotive as it got to heavy to stay attached to the undercarriage. Other then that you have a very nice collection of fossils and mineral specimen. If I where you I'd list those individually, as it will be easier to look over each sample on the page without going up and down on the screen, I get motion sickness doing all that up and down business. Plus you'll get more points for post and likes also I would think. Cool stuff you have and welcome to this fun TN place.
