Long story short, rain in the forecast all day so I stayed local and screwed around at my great grandparents property for a bit, GB number reading was 88, I lowered it to 85, trying to squeeze out some more depth, which I got but I was digging a lot of deep foil ringing up like dimes in 8 kHz - just wondering if this is normal as I usually run GB in tracking.
No mineralization.

Thanks.

I often run mine below 80 (77 is about the lowest I can stand). Crazy I know but it makes the unit super sensitive. I learned it from a UK user right here on TNET. These sites are farm fields and other than a super noisy unit I havent had a problems. If its not too windy I turn down the audio level to 3 and just listen to the subtle tone changes to discern a good target. I like very wet ground for the Deus.

I rarely run my sens above 85. Mostly 83.

And this would be for the 9" coil.

If anyone wonders why I'd rather turn down the GB dramatically rather than turn up the sens its because I am convinced the low sens works best to unmask targets on my colonial sites. Have no idea how this would work on non farmed sites.
