Mantle clock back piece?

Hi all,
Dug a few hours ago. I believe it’s back covering to a mantle clock, although I may be off. You can see the engraved clock with an arrow going around. also some letters but badly worn. Under a loupe I can make out “KEY” and “SETC”. If anyone has any ideas please let me know and thanks for looking. Have a great weekend!
