The Manticore is awesome at unmasking. I found an IHP yesterday that I was able to hear through the grunt of what turned out to be two nails. BTW, I'm also on basic factory settings. I still haven't made much of a change at all to the settings. Low and slow and set the sensitivity one notch below where the chatter starts seems to be the key IMHO. Also using the M9 Coil.
My shovel blade is about 4". The IHP was at the bottom of plug, so about 4". The nails were just above maybe 2-2 1/2" deep.
