Went to one of my favorite lakes to swim and detect, what a relief from the hot weather! Temps 44 deg. in the morn. and 73 in the afternoon. By the way this is a first as I left the boat at home and took my Ace instead. As can be expected in such a lightly populated area the finds were somewhat meager, but I did stumble on a site that had many nails and a few pennys and some unidentified objects. If I can identify these objects I can figure out what kind of structure was once here. The lake beach is about a mile long and there are no cottages for 2-3 miles in either direction and never has been. I almost always have the beach to myself but this time 3 or 4 people came by, tourists. Another first, as we walked the beach a loon about 30 ft from shore followed us all the way and stopped went we stopped despite having 2 big dogs along.
