Not sure what this is. It is made of a heavier metal like lead(maybe brass) but is fairly thin and if whole it would be around three inches across. Thought maybe someone would recognize that face ;D

Always shown with birds.

Or not. The hands look oriental in that posture.

This piece has a very Asian flare to me. Possibly Guan Yin (aka Buddhist Goddess of Mercy) or something like that...

She is often depicted with a flying bird and/or lotus flowers.

If thats what it is, it could have been part of a home or garden shrine.

Where did you find it?

Those "birds" could only be owls, if the figures are in fact depicting birds.

It was found in the front yard of a house built in the 20's in south carolina.
The area has turned up some fairly old objects....especially the fields surrounding the property(16 acres). There are remains of three different fireplaces in three different areas here too. I just hope the finds keep coming!!
