I am positive it's a makeup compact but I need info on who made it and what years/era it's from. It says Fabulous Beauty Preparation.

Forgot to mention I found this at a house that was built in 1925, so I was wondering year hopefully brezzie will be able to help.

Not a compact. It's a thin covering like old sardine cans. Makeup companies used them as well as food for camping and such. Probably made from cheap metal like aluminum

I've dug similar lids from ponds makeup to sardines. They are old. They were used kinda like disposables, on the go type a thing

Maybe this ----

https://www.etsy.com/listing/93357717/antique-harriet-hubbard-ayer-beauty-jar

Harriet Hubbard Ayer became famous for having initiated the first cosmetic company in the U.S. in the late 1800's. A Professional in the subjects of Beauty, Health, and Etiquette. Here is a chance to own one of her early beauty containers from the late 19th Century. Made of milk glass with her name molded in the bottom and still retaining it's original lid made of aluminum which reads, " Harriet Hubbard Ayer...Famous Beauty Preparations...USA." The jar is in Very Good Condition with No chips or cracks...The lid reads very clearly in Good Condition with a dent on one edge and a couple of spots of discoloration. An Amazing piece of Beauty History...perfect for the Etsian Seller who creates Beauty Preparations. Measures 3.25" High x 2.25" Wide...7.5" Circumference around.

It is related. It's small for in the go use. Traveling and so forth

Did some research and it says the "back" was the lid for a vanishing cream from Pond's Extract Company. So you were right about that thanks.

Is the metal thin or are you able to bend it a little (don't break it). But my guess would be you are able too. Those were not made from real solid metal

It's thin and yes bendable. Sadly I know this from digging I accidentally bent it at the side :(

That one in that pic just posted is a screw top. I would bet the one you found isn't a screw top. More like a clamped lid.
