Makers Marks, Anyone?

found this ring on a pre 1860's (burned by the natives in a raid so i was told) house site in Fla,i know the area and quite a bit of background on who owned the house.these marks i have researched and have come up with nothing.Does anyone have any Ideas ?

not exactly,the marks are exactly as it appears on the paper.the animal has no facial features even though there is little to no wear inside the ring as it appears to me.that is the best i can do with this camera.we thought at one time it may be a crudely stamped rabbit do to the whatever it is hanging off the back of it's head !!! idk...........tyvm

Hi, sorry to bring up such an old post but I found a ring with the same markings and was wondering if anyone ever found any information regarding the maker?
