Hey guys,

So I dug this ring yesterday at my great grandparents old homestead, and it is marked "Sterling" and has a mark in front of Sterling that looks like an H with an arrow going through it to the left. No H in anyone's name or last name. I was wondering if anyone knew what this mark is? I also included some photos of the style of the ring as well in case anyone can identify the mark that way. Any info would be awesome, thanks!

Oh thank you! I had originally thought it was an H lol

Hey Ben,

That's the mark of Uncas Jewelry. (I dug a class ring last year with that mark). It's an American company founded in 1911 and still in business today.
They make silver, gemstone and fake jewelry and can be identified as having a “U with an arrow through” (1947 first trademarked). Uncas is
a Native American character from "The Last of the Mohicans" novel/films. (hence the arrow!).

Wow!

Thanks so much! Still trying to find the stone that was once inside of it. Truly appreciate it!
