its a reed and barton they've made silverware from the 1840's to the present they are from Taunton,mass.

Just tidying up some blasts from the past (including some very ancient ones), largely for the benefit of anyone searching the site for information.

The spoon is indeed from Reed & Barton. It’s their 1890 ‘Flora’ pattern. The other mark is for the retailer Brown, Hixson & Co. of Main Street, Lockport, NY and active in the 1890s. This advert from December 1892:
