Major Ralph T. Smith (sold brass desk name plate

I found the name desk plate of a Major Ralph T. Smith. Found in Alva, lee county florida. I've researched with not to much luck. I'm in the processes of restoring it back to it original state and return it to either Ralph him self or a family member.
