I've had some luck lately getting some fine artifacts. Most are midwest, but I did run into a collection that had pieces from just everywhere imaginable. Which if anybody is looking for a last minute present for the artifact lover that is hard to shop for look me up or PM me.

6-7/8" carter cave flint blade from Ross co. OH. and was cabineted by Clem Caldwell for a long period of time. I feel it is archaic and not woodland, but I'm open on opinions about it.

4-1/4" Pipe creek chert Hopewell found in Pawpaw Michigan in a field along red arrow road.
DSC04779.JPG

lost lake from St. Clair Co. IL. it has been through a host of notable oldtime collectors cabinets. I'm at a loss as to the material, all I know it is is very high quality ( if you know what it is please let me know)

pink quartz hourglass bannerstone that has been broken and then repaired anciently, I wish I had more info on this one, all I know is the collectors name

I have a few more pics of other pieces I'll put up if people want to see them.

Great post of mail box finds. They would make a nice addition to any collection here at Christmas.

these are not for sale, these are ones I added to my collection. What I was referring to was I had some other pieces that I will be parting with, but not these. thanks, Scott

Scott, nice stuff man. I really like the big Carter blade. That is a monster! Hope you and yours have a great holiday. See ya at Ripley if not before.

Oh, so that's how it is huh. Tease us with the killer pieces and then sell us the rest. I see how you are now. ;D

Killer pieces Scott. I hope to see them at Ripley. That Lost Lake is an awesome point.

Awesome mailbox pieces. Great acquisition Scott. I think that Carter blade is a Dovetail preform. It sure has the base for it. jmo~~~~......................GTP

Can you imagine if that big blade was a dove? It would be huge!! I have had quite a few people tell me they thought it was a dove that just didn't get notched yet. Thanks for the comments. Scott

Thanks for the look Scott, they're all outstanding pieces. The pitting in the Lost Lake is very Sonora like imo. Don't know if it made it that far west but I've seen a few similar pieces like it from Ky. and In. Whatever it is it's killer stuff.
