I have been using neo-magnets in my scoop for a while now. I've always used epoxy to fasten them inside. After a period of time they do eventually come loose and disappear.

K&J magnetics now has a line of countersunk magnets in various sizes and prices. I'll be drilling holes in my sandscoop and tapping out the holes for four in my scoop as soon as they arrive. I don't expect to loose these.

If you have not done this before, it's an excellent way to only dig up that bobby pin or small piece of iron once.

Ahoy~

I guess I am "overkilling" it..... LOL.... I have a 3" "pacemaker" magnet tie strapped in the back of my scoop.... That thing will suck a wrench out of your hand....

I have one epoxyed because its round (no holes). The other scoop has a the magnet tie wrapped in. Both seem to be doing ok so far.
