Hi Everyone

New here from South Africa

I found a rock in my garden a while back, it's very heavy for its size(10cm x 12 cm), magnetic and has some rust forming on areas of the rock.

I googled and found nothing that matches the one I have. Capture.PNG IMG_20201107_095938.jpg

If anyone could help it would be appreciated

Thank you

The only meteorite possibility would possible be a mesosiderite by its appearance but looks more to me like magnetite. See if it produces a black streak on the back of a piece of tile, if it does then most likely it is magnetite.

Not a meteorite. I second desertexplore on magnetite, not need for a steak test~ but you can try and gain the experience. It has the crystal structure, which you wont find on a meteorite, and a bit of rust is not uncommon in high iron material.
