Don’t be like me and throw in the entire rope and magnet on the second toss.

I have a couple of 1500 pound pulls and a couple 1000 pound pulls. I only now use my 1500 pound pull. I did zip tie plastic coke bottles to each magnet. It helps keep the magnet flat on the bottom. I can also stand on a bridge over a river. I then bump the rope and can walk the magnet down river. Hope this helps. I did get one magnet stuck on a metal bridge frame and had to tie rope to my car to pull it off . I am MUCH more careful NOW !!!

We have a 350# w/ 30’ of paracord with a large fishing bobber/ float on the end. Don’t want to latch onto something I can’t pull up. Most of the places we go are infested with gators and cottonmouths, with zero viz, so if gets hung up it’s gone.

Please BE EXTRA CAREFUL !!! and Merry Christmas

You might build a 12v or 24v DC electric magnet. That way when you can't haul it up you can flip a switch and let go.

And, if it shorts out you might have fish for dinner. :laughing7:
