Don't know about the "as always" part, but I do know you can't treasure hunt on military bases.Treasure_Hunter is correct as always.
Welp we can assume they probably are not the brightest bunch then between that and fishing on the military base.Watched a random part of the video. Douchebags were throwing these rockets at each other… Nah, I feel no sympathy.
Back in late '80s we were searching the reefs off the Dry Tortugas and came across a half dozen Stinger? missiles. We didn't pickup any. Probably air-to-air missiles, not sure what they were shooting at. Heard jet fighters a lot while out in the outer Keyes.Welp we can assume they probably are not the brightest bunch then between that and fishing on the military base.
A quick internet search for a magnet fishing man ending up in jail for about 2 weeks makes these guy's complaint about fines look a bit trivial. I guess I was lucky that the WWII bomb detonator I found while detecting was on a public beach.Much disposed ordinance is inert,as opposed to fired, unexploded ordinance, duds to the uninitiated. I,ve never seen "rockets" like the ones these guys dredged up.Any one able to ID them as to type and use, filler, fuse, etc.? Would be helpful to some of us. Small arms Ammunition,50 cal. and smaller,is rarely dangerous, a few special 50 cal.spotter rounds contain a small amount of White Phosphorus and could cause bad burns, but these are rarely unaccounted for in peacetime training. Unfused Artillery Ammunition, may or may not be "Unstable" depending on the filler explosive used,TNT can become unstable with age,Picric Acid, combined with other ingredients can become extremely unstable.Composition B,used in Artillery shells of my time 71-75 was considered very stable under about all conditions. Still, this was on a US military base and patently not allowed. Best to consider all activity on a military base by unmilitary persons to be Prohibited unless accompanied by a qualified military escort. How did the dudes get on the base to begin with?Every military base I,m familiar with requires strict ID requirements for entry these days. At Little Rock Air Force Base,APs at the gates are picked for a total lack of humor and strict adherence to detail.
D-D-D-Detonator? As opposed to unfused explosives, that,s one that can bring about the big BOOM! I posted it in the Nokta Legend forum. Notice that the bomb squad does not have on the Michelin Man suit and visors aren't even down. But they were very careful and said it was unstable.
