We ran a small, last-minute Virginia Civil War tour on some sites that were late to be cut and planted this past weekend. It was pretty hardcore with long hours in the hot sun, but the finds were worth it. The group shot is of the items Sal (mudslideslim) and I found together. I scored some firsts for me, a Virginia cuff button, carved bullets, a carbine bullet of some sort, and an anchor button we think is CW but need to identify. I was tickled to call Sal over when I found the Virginia cuff.

Couple of good buttons there, can't help with the Navy button, but looks old.
I also like what appears to be a barrel tap key.

Heck, ya made me proud of you, and I don't even know y'all.

Some fantastic finds- what a great area to hunt.

Nice digs, what machine are you using and does it handle the mineralization fine there?

That's a nice late season haul Ashley. Congrats on all the firsts, especially that VA button. Say hi to Sal for me.

Nice group of finds folks, it was good to see that you managed to get in another hunt.

That Navy button is not one I've seen posted before, let us all know the result?

Congrats on the Virginia button Ashley. Glad you are posting. Tell Sal I miss his posts and finds.

Hey, there. Good to "see" you. History Hunts has been keeping us busy lately, but we're gonna try to post more. We'd love to have to back to Virginia or even to England sometime. Hope all is well. -Ash

Well done Ash! This girl is on fire! Wait till y'all see what she pulled this evening while we were on a scouting trip.
