If you remember my post from yesterday, I tried to walk across the Dan river, so I could hunt the island in between the Dan and the Roanoke river. Mud stuck me. I got my map out last night and found a rout to drive in. I still had some pretty bad mud, but I made it. Now, I hope I make it through the cold that comes with it.

I haven't cleaned all that I found, but here is the best of it. It was raining all day, so I had to abandon two nutting stones. I didn't want to be like Gilligan.

Sorry for posting the same pic twice. The drive from one bank to the other is 1 1/2 hours. I found more agricultural tools than any thing. It's a huge island. I'll post the other finds in a few!

Just think all some people do is pull up to cornfields and walk a few feet and find stuff. They are sissies ! :laughing7:

I'm a sissy for the majority of my hunts. The rivers have fewer broken pieces. As long as I'm hunting, I'm happy. Sissy or not.

Oh, I misread, sorry. Yes sir. That is it.

There are so many fields around here i could go all day everyday and still not cover them all and probably find more, but I like digging.

You would find more whole pieces digging I'm sure. Tractors eat them up. I have gotten so used to broken points, a whole one almost makes pee myself.
