One is bent - and I'm not sure it is supposed to be or not. Sizes are 4 1/2". Thanks again.

yes they are punches, my guess is if he was a machinist, he made those himself on the lathe. The rough spots for grip is called knurling. Im guessing he was teaching someone or those were his very first attempt. Especially if that one bent like that. it means it didnt harden the way it should of during the heat treatment. But they are also kinda long in the thinnest part there. Seems like a design flaw, unless they were made for a specific use.
I still have mine that i made in high school during shop class. The wood holder and all the punches and sets i made on a lathe. Notice how i screwed up the heat treatment on one end of the punch. It should not get deformed like that from hammering. other than that they held up good. still use them to this day.

Why do you spam this website with stupid junk ? Its called TreaureNet, not Junk I found
You have 6 threads with junk and rusty crap
You have 17 posts as of this reply, 10 of which are of you crying, and two in which you posted two pieces of "stupid junk" that you yourself wanted to have identified. You have one where you tried to ID somebody else's "stupid junk." The other four are rambling about some Spanish Galleon. What's up with the chip on your shoulder?

Maybe you idiots should start talking about politics or the weather hmmmmm
Well sir, some of what you are calling junk may have a value of several hundred dollars. Until those items are properly identified by the talented folks that are members here we have to put those items it the "properly identified column". So the "crap" phrase may very well be associated with...

You posted “after “days” of research I think I found my 1st ship of 12 Spanish Galleons sunk in my area.
The manifest says it was a 2 mast galleon around 46 feet in length. Here is a picture for everyone to look at.
Can anyone confirm this looks roughly 46 feet in size ?”
You have a google earth image of something intact in the water.

Hmmm after 2 seconds of research, pretty sure galleons had at least 3 masts. Were well over 100ft. And would not be still in one piece today.

What a negative Nancy. have you ever heard of, One man’s junk, is another man’s treasure, LOL. Not to mention this is “what is it.” he doesn’t know if what he has is trash or treasure. That’s the whole point of this section of forum.
