It’s heavy, rang up closer to silver. Turned greenish when I started cleaning it up a bit

I thought the sameHard to tell from the photos but it looks kind of like an old soldering iron tip. is it kind of wedge shaped at the tip?
Interesting. I’m not familiar with that style weight. All of mine were the 12 to 20 inch iron jobs cinched with cotton or fiber rope. How old would this little weight be? I’d guess it preceded mine by quite a few years. Most of mine came from homes built in early 1900’s. ThanksYes it is, after some research and a co worker I think it’s part of a window weight

Copper definitely gets a green patina, but so do a few other things. Depending on conditions, time, items in contact, etc.Green means copper, right?
