Two pre 1920 nails and a buckle...

What is that other thing? No idea... looks like twisted metal.

the nails are 1780s hand made,the other is a hook that broke off something

It is tough to use a scan to ID something. Especially items that are not flat (Great for coins though). The depth of field (how much is in focus) is so "thin" that it is hard to see the entire object. As far as I know, there is no way to increase the depth of field of a scanner to match that of a camera. It is important to have as much of the object in focus to give us all the information possible. It make IDs not only quicker but more accurate.
