Man, this hobby is addicting. I may actually lose weight doing this. :D I skipped eating lunch today and hit the farm again briefly. I dug up quite a variety as usual.
*1945 Wheat penny.
*A rough CW button.
*2- shotgun shell heads.
A Remington UMC New Club #12 (1911-1934)
A Remington Nublack #12 (age?)
*Asst'd metal pieces. One is stamped "FORD".
Any idea what this is?
*An old car or truck mirror. 1920's or 30's maybe?
*Toy gun pieces. The main pieces says "Made in USA" and "M & ?"
Any toy buffs out there? Age?
*The midsection of an oil lamp with some wick in it.
Any idea of the age? CW era?
*A mystery chunk of metal. Looks like pieces had been pulled from it before. I found it by the creek close to the CW button. It is not heavy like lead would be, and not magnetic. Any guesses?
I will also be posting another neat item on the "What is it" section.
Thanks for looking,
MM

stamped ford - im guessing its a license plate bracket... ??? could be completely off base..

I agree i am addicted as well....

Beautiful photos MM. Just keep going! That farm holds a surprise around every corner.

My favorite out of that bunch is the Ford artifact.

Nice work.

Great finds, & great location,

Fossis..........................

The funny looking thing marked FORD is part of an ignition plate from a Model T. I found one a year or so ago. Do some google searches and you'll find this part.
