Hey guys and gals,

I'm a CRH rookie. I usually just ask the tellers if they have any halves laying around as I don't have $500 to order a box. On Wednesday, I stopped by PNC to deposit a check and do a check. Then I asked the teller if she had any halves(no halves) and the manager, who frequents the restaurant I work at came out from behind the partition after recognizing my voice and told me she had $7.00 dollars worth. Needless to say I scooped em up. 3 pristine 1968 40%'s in the bunch! I dumped the rest at work. She asked me if I wanted to order a box! I said yes, so my buddy and I split it and pick it up on Tuesday. My first box! So excited.

I had another check to deposit so I decided to go to another PNC branch less than 2 miles away for the heck of it. The teller had two 90's or 40's, I couldn't tell. I asked her to buy them and she said she was holding them for another customer. She mentioned another teller had $40.00 in halves but wasn't working till today. This afternoon I went back and picked up the hand rolled rolls. Two 40's and a 2001-D ( how much is the 2001 worth?). I dumped the rest at the shitty TD branch across the street.

As an added bonus, I found a 1948 rosie dime and a 64' quarter in rolls at work.

Any advice would thoroughly be appreciated. Good luck and HH!

nice finds and good luck on the half box you ordered. Unfortunately '01 is the last year halves were released into circulation - so it's not NIFC and it's just worth fv.

2002 to present are NIFC years. I get too many NIFC's in my area, at least 10 per box. I toss em back as soon as I see them unless they are super shiny or they are dated 2010 or 2011 as I only have a few of those. I will start tossing back 2010 and 2011 halves once i get 5 of each year and mintmark.

@ fistfulladirt, so hooked.
@ Bufflaloboy TD for dumping? They won't order boxes for me in NJ. I have a student account just for dump purposes, other wise it a 6% vig.

I'm assuming NIFC stands for "Not Intended for Circulation", thanks for the information. Sorry for the S-bomb in my original post.

ya not intended for circ.

I keep a roll of each year 2002 to present, they're not worth crap but whatever, neither is $10 so I just keep them down in my garage in some tubes.

Nice work on the finds....glad you are hooked! I got hooked the same way you did. Heard about this from a buddy, checked a few banks, got a glut of teller silver and just ballooned from there!

Here's some pics, the 2 quarters are a 2000 Mass. clad proof and a 2001 N.C. clad proof. One was handed to me, to pay a check at the restaurant where I work, I found the other in the register. The rest are from my week.

Now that you have increase your searching by ordering a full box, you will change your tune about TD.

Good luck with your first box.
