Hey everyone!

I hope you’ve had a good weekend. I got out for several hours today and am glad I did.

I started out early in the day by finding a horseshoe. I can’t remember the last time I found one of these. Probably more than a decade ago.

It was in a tiny front yard. I’m not sure if it is from a game of horseshoes or if this was actually worn by a horse. I’m leaning toward the former but I’m not sure. Here are some additional photos.

Anyways, my first site didn’t pan out much so I moved on to a backup. Good grief I’m glad I did!!

Here are some of the best finds:

-10 Wheat Pennies including a 1910
-A 1913 “Fifty Cents” Contributors Medal from the Rose Festival in Portland, Oregon

Here are some close ups of the token:

One of my cooler tokens for sure.

Here are some other odds and ends I uncovered too.

All things considered, a pretty awesome and amazing day. It blew my expectations out of the water!

Heading to Chicago to work tomorrow so no detecting from me for a little bit. Good luck out there this week!

That is an awesome bunch of silver and wheats! What a day you had.

That surely was a lucky horseshoe- congrats on all those great finds!

Now we’re metal detecting.Congratulations.:icon_thumright:

Man you had an awesome day my friend! :occasion14:
Congrats on those beautiful silvers, love the personalized license plate too.

The 'horseshoe' you found is from a game not a horse. :laughing7:
Dave

PS. This is an interesting looking bell, looks to have some age to it

Sweet!!! Very Nice!!! Congrats!!!

So 1 Washington quarter from the '40s, a Merc, and 3 silver Roosevelts in the same day. WTG Washingtonian.

Incredible day, Congrats! Glad you went to the other site!

Wow! That's a whole lot of Silver. Congrats!

Wow, awesome hunt. Horseshoe must have been facing up!

Haha, thanks. I figured but I'm certainly not an expert. I'm not sure on the history of the bell! It was on top of the ground in front of a 1920s teardown.

I guess so! Haha. I didn't find any silver in my first couple hours and was just hoping for a single merc so this really blew my expectations out of the water.

Nice
Can I borrow your horse shoe?
