Third time out to the beach with the Minelab Excalibur II (Daytona Beach). Found my first piece of jewelry, a silver plated elephant charm. These are supposedly good luck charms that were popular during the mid 20th century, so that is a good omen for future finds. The next find is a complete mystery found close to the surf. Had a strong signal and dialed the discriminate all the way too the right and still a good tone, so I don't think this piece has any iron. I have no idea what it is or what it is made out of. Seems very light weight for its size. Anyone have any idea what it is?

Looks like a piece of Aluminum casting..jmho..............HH

Thanks Andre and Greg. Aluminum casting explains the light weight. Well, that is no longer a mystery. Learned something before 6:30 am, a good start for the day.

Glad to help and Welcome to the "Net", can't wait to see more of your finds...........................HH
