LRLs: The Difference Between "Proof" and "Claims"

What Is the Difference Between Proof and Claims?

Proof is when some claim is satisfactorily shown to be true, to anyone challenging it. This can be done in a setting where the challengers personally observe the proof being performed. Or it can be accomplished using unbiased persons who are trusted by the challengers, to personally judge the validity of the proof, and properly document it. For example: A Scientific Test for LRLs.

Of course, when someone makes a claim that LRLs actually work, there is an implicit burden of proof upon the person asserting a claim.

When the claimants refuse to provide proper proof, and instead insist that the challengers should prove that the claim is not true, they are merely showing that they cannot prove their claims.

When a person or group makes a claim, they should be happy to prove it, if asked to do so. Especially if they continue to insist to all others that their claim is true. If they feel that it is so important that they be "believed," then they would feel it equally important to prove to the World that their claim is true. That's common sense.

But when people only talk, talk, talk about their claims, and refuse to prove any of them, that is a giant red flag that there is something wrong with their claims! That is also common sense.

In fact, when someone attempts to prove their claims, merely by making many more claims, they are trying to pull a well known trick. It is an effort to substitute Social Proof (which is no proof at all), for Real Proof. The attempt to substitute false proof for real proof, is an indication that there is no actual proof possible.

Unverifiable testimonials, testimonials made by the claimants themselves, excuses for not providing acceptable proof, and ancidotal stories of alleged success, are all merely feeble attempts at non-proof. The more non-proof they try to push, the more convincing it is that their claims are false.

The hard, cold fact is that no marketed LRL has ever been proven to the World to actually work.

Re: LRLs: The Difference Between "Proof" and "Claims"

Another point of evidence that claims are not proof, is the fact that no proof is ever requested until after some claim is made.

Only after a claim is made, can it be challenged.

Then, if a claim is challenged, the burden of proof is upon the claimant.

If the claim made is false, then the claimant cannot prove his claim. This is when some people try to say that it is the challenger who must prove something. Attempting to reverse this rule of debate is an admission of the claimant that his claim is false.

And this attempted reversal, itself, is the proof that the claim is false.

LRL promoters continually refuse to try and provide any real proof of their claims, and they continually try to reverse the burden of proof onto the challenger. This attempted reversal obviously makes no sense at all, and is just one more proof that LRLs are fraudulent.
