Possibly a Wedge also. I say that by the pounding it shows on the opposite end of the bit. A wedge is something people don’t realize they used but was in the tool kit. It was something they used for splitting logs. It’s a very unique find and if I had found it I’d put it in a frame.Could be a Chisel looks like a bit on one end. But let’s see what others say. I’m not positive
The Greenstone is TN is a lot like what I find it’s like a cross between Greenstone and a Rhyolite. It’s softer than what’s found in other states. It grinds easy but yet durable for a Celt or tool.To me it looks like slate which would leave out the notion of it being used as a hammer. Def looks like the bit of a celt imo
