Checked the tide charts on Goggle and headed out at low tide to a local park. Everything is still frozen or under ice so one has to get their fix where ever they can. Mind you found an item that lends to a kind of "fix" that this bouy will never have. To top it off this is one of the upper echelon areas of Halifax Regional Municipality...housing prices in this particular neighbourhood are out of this world! Nice hour swinging and chatting with the ducks and seagulls!

Nice work. I hear ya on getting a fix. This winter I found myself in a crawl space of a 1950's house. And dug two horse shoes. Gotta do what ya gotta do lol. HH

Please don't talk to me about needing to get my metal detecting fix!
I keep checking the ground . . . and yup it's still frozen here too!

Nice digs Les,

Beautiful sunny day in central NY, thought I would hit an old farm house we tore down two weeks ago. Actually my wife's childhood home, went to the nice sunny south lawn, home of the kids swings/sandbox and clothes line, had a good hit under the old tree swing- froze solid below the 1 inch line! I'm thinkin' winter is never going to leave here!
Good huntin'!

Well at least you got to dig, and apparently the tidal flats are the only lands that are not frozen solid.

I will have to give that a shot myself.
