I have been following this forum for awhile now but haven’t posted much yet. I started detecting with an Ace 350 last year and got hooked. I went and saw Ron at Windy City Detectors and picked up an E-trac last month. I highly recomend stopping by to see him if your in the market. I’m still trying to figure it all out but I’m getting the hang of it. I was able to find 3 silver dimes this past weekend. Not too bad for these tough city parks. I have found about a dozen wheaties, 62d and 47 Rosie and a 43 Merc so far with the new Minelab. I enjoy seeing everyone’s finds on here, keeps you excited about what is out there to find. :icon_thumright:

Welcome to the forum, and congrats on your purchase. Ron is one heck of a guy. Always takes great care of you. Looking forward to seeing what you find.

Congrats on your finds. I am in pretty much in the same boat as yourself. Started with the Ace 350 last year. Picked up a new E-Trac this week. Still learning the new machine. Happy Hunting!

I'm never surprised by the ETrac finds, just wowwed by them now and then! Great hunt!

lots of new etrac owners coming out this year... going to be exciting times... be sure to post pictures of the finds! Lots of cool artifacts to dig besides old coins too... be sure to properly fill your holes and obey laws and use common sense. Never leave trash in the holes and be sure to leave the park in better shape then when you got there... Watch out for dog poop. I stepped in some on Monday, almost kneeled in it... not fun.
