Started my lunch break with $4.43 in change.

Dumped it at the first bank and walked out with $5.73.

Stopped at a bank that had $5 in loose halves, skunked.

Dumped the change again, walked out of the bank with $8.83.

Stopped at another bank for $1.50 in loose halves, skunked.

Dumped the loose halves, found a keeper in the reject tray, and walked out of the bank with $10.03 + one 1964D Roosevelt.

Turned $4.43 in loose change into $12+ with just a little time and driving around. Not too shabby.

The coin machine is off?

Jeez, even bank robbery has low margins of profit. Darn recession.

All from change being left in the machine/in the coin tube.

Got two Ike's out of the machine at the second dump bank.

I hardly ever find coins left in the reject tray. Where is the tube? Do you have to reach inside the machine or something? If I did that I assume the bank employees would wonder what the heck I was doing.

Went bank hopping on my lunch break with $50.

Grabbed $13 worth of loose halves at bank 1: skunk.

Dumped them and crossed paths with not one, but two hunters that operate in my area. Both in the same dump bank. Haven't seen either of these guys yet. One was in line ahead of me dumping $600 worth of halves. The guy behind me had a TON of quarters.

Grabbed $50 in CWR quarters at bank 2: skunk.

Dumped them, left with $50.13.

Picked up $20 worth of CWR halves and $30 worth of CWR dimes at bank 3: skunk.

Went to dump them, saw two silver Roosies sitting in the reject tray: 1949 and 1961. 8-)

Got my slip from the coin machine, total came to $51.69! 8-) 8-)

Went up to the teller to get my cash and spotted and nabbed a 40%er: 1968! 8-) 8-) 8-)

+$1.69 for the day and grabbed some silver. Not too shabby.

Thanks, guys. I had to start getting creative with my hunting once I blew my whole bankroll on taking my family on vacation. I can't afford to buy boxes right now, so I take a little money out during my lunch breaks and either try to find silver with it or turn it into a little more money via the picking up/dumping process.

It still amazes me, the number of people who don't check the reject tray, the tube that supplies it, or that just dump large dollar coins into the machine.
