Love Token? Not sure??

Hello All,
I found this a couple of months ago in a CW camp.. it is the size of a dime.. silver plated.. nothing on the reverse..
the writing I can make out says "While I am away.." and there appears to be something in the center..

This come out of the same area with a bunch of early war items.. and New York items.. any ideas??

It looks like a button. Look carefully to see if the shank has broken off on the centre of the reverse.

If so, its a personalised one piece type & quite rare.

I agree that it looks like a button... small flower design in teh middle...
