Me & my huntin' pal hit a local elementary school. (Early 60's) His Tesoro is a bit of a ring magnet and he pulled this little beauty. Definitely yellow, but unsure of the karat, and not sure I want to grind it anywhere... Could that 99 possibly mean 24K?! Sure is bendy and small and old... Other marks are tough to see... I'll try to get a better picture up.

Thanks for your consideration!

GL and HH

It may mean its 24k. 99% gold? I'm not an expert,so don't put too much faith in my guess.

Nice find! Congrats and HH!

Only one way to tell the kt, acid test or take it to a jeweler. It is rare to make jewelry out of pure gold because it is so soft. However there are a few out there that do it. It's definitely Au.

Awsome ring - hope it's pure

Man , the color looks spot on - the surface looks right for 24k - what are the other hallmarks ?

put it on the whats it forum....Breezie can probably hook you up! cool find.......................HH

Looks lke 24k. Not that uncommon in the Asian, middle eastern and north African communities. I work for an apartment complex with a large Eritrean population and those folks like it pure gold.

You are correct. Most of the higher 22-24k jewelry comes from the east.

That looks like High Grade Gold There! Hope it is 24 karat. If it is bendy it probably is. Great Find!

Thanks for the comments! I added some larger pictures. Hope it's pure... Maybe you can see the hallmarks better...

Im also no expert but the ring def- has the look in my opinion . Thats one BEAUTIFUL ring.

that is one seriously yellow ring. it has got to be at least 22k, but is probably more. great find!
