Bought 76 Louis Lamour leather bound westerns at an estate sale today for 50$.

NICE,, What Edition (s)? Early? Riders of the Purple Sage?(my fav)

Great find!

Read a lot of his books when I was a kid, loved them  Looks like the leather bound ones sell for about $5 to $6 bucks apiece on Amazon.com so you did OK.

They were my favorite as well. He switched from westerns to writing about the adventures of pirates when I was
around 16, turned me off from him after trying to get through his first one.

Love the old westerns though.... :icon_thumright: :icon_thumleft:

all of his characters were tall and broad shoulders and lean in the hips and always got ointo a fist fight. Bt that had to do with Louis being a boxer himself.

i remeber the 8 tracks, but dont remeber any of the titles, we used to listen to them on the way to church

The movie was very good too. Sam Elliot and Tom Selleck were fantastic in it.
