Discovered an entire abandoned village in a 3x4 mile stretch of woods. Almost unnoticeable. Took me 3 hours just to find them all. Crumbling brick structures and collapsed basements. Purpose of site still unclear. All buildings arranged in row. Further exploration needed. Some of the early finds suggest early 1800, very late 1700s. Surrounding community founded 1705. Absolutely enthralled, this is so exciting. Maybe one or two amateurs passed by but I’m sure no one has been here seriously. Not on any maps from USGS FD8775AB-D3E1-40C9-BD3F-35F722779B4D.jpeg

Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Man I bet that was exciting stumbling across the structures in the woods. Can’t wait to see what else this new site gives you in t he future. One of my best finds came from an old farmhouse out in the middle of the woods that just had the remnants of the stacked stone basement. Any chance this could have been a farm at one time with multiple structures? Or is it REALLY spread out?

Interesting finds Beast.
Hope you're able to recover some early-19thc finds in Colorado.
