I found this One Dollar Lost Trade Value Token today, and am curious as to if anyone has seen a token like this before and if they have any info to share. Its an interesting token, made of what appears to be aluminum and is the size of a dollar coin, and appears to be dated 1961. Has anyone ever seen a similar Lost value currency token?

Thanks for the link. Any idea what the token was used for? Or was it just a souvenir?

I can guess: Superstition Ho was a resort. General Electric planned a sales meeting at that facility. I believe, if you do the research you'll find the sales meeting was cancelled but for what reason, I don't recall.
Don.....

PS: BTW, here's some more history of the place:
The Superstition Ho was later called the Superstition Inn and much later until it's being demolished, the Grand Hotel. This hotel was used by many actors who were filming at Apacheland studios which were just up the road by Gold Canyon. The central building had rooms/suites upstairs that were used by the likes of Elvis and Ronald Reagan. There were plaques outside of each room that identified which person of note stayed there. These plaques and other items were auctioned off shortly before the hotel was demolished.

Nice! Thank you for the Intel. I must be terrible at online searches because I didn't find any of that information. I'll try to refine my search and see what else I can find. I really appreciate the help and information!

Discovered these tokens were used for casino night at the hotel.
